Questions

Can riders pay online?

Not in v1. Riders book and then pay the driver by card or cash, or pay in your own app. The booking form says “No payment now”, and you can change those words in src/i18n/ui.ts (book.secure).

Does the estimator need Google Maps?

No. It uses your fixed fares, or a distance and time the rider types in, priced with the rates in site.config.ts. Nothing is sent to a maps service, so there’s no API key or bill. See Fares and the estimator.

Can I connect my dispatch system?

Point the Book buttons at your dispatch system’s booking page instead: set booking.page in site.config.ts to its address. The quick forms then send riders there. Check whether your system can read the pickup and drop-off from the address; CarrGo sends them as pickup and dropoff.

Is there an admin or driver dashboard?

Not in v1. CarrGo is your public website. Dashboards are planned for a later version.

Can I use only one of the three home pages?

Yes. Rename the one you want to src/content/pages/index.md and delete the others. See Project structure.

Are the demo photos included?

Yes. They were generated for CarrGo and you can use them on your site. Replacing them with photos of your own cars and drivers builds more trust.

Fixing problems

npm run dev shows an error about a page

CarrGo checks every content file. The message names the file and the setting, such as sections.2.variant, which means the third block’s variant (counting starts at 0). Common causes are a misspelt setting, a variant that doesn’t exist for that block, or wrong indentation.

A list item split in two

In a list like points: [Fixed price, tolls included], the comma separates items. Put an item that contains a comma in quotes: points: ["Fixed price, tolls included"].

A photo shows “not found”

Check the file is in src/assets/images/ and that the name in the page matches exactly, including .jpg and capital letters.

Bookings say “Demo only: nothing was sent”

That’s the demo setting. Set booking.provider in site.config.ts to your provider. See Booking and forms.

Changes don’t appear

Save the file, and check the terminal running npm run dev for an error. If you added a new folder in src/content/, stop the preview with Ctrl+C and start it again.
