Driver recruitment
Show drivers what they could earn, list your requirements and collect applications.
The Drive page (src/content/pages/drive.md) is built to recruit drivers. It has an earnings calculator, a requirements checklist, the steps to get started, an application form and a driver FAQ. The rideshare home page uses the calculator too.
The earnings calculator
The numbers come from drivers in src/site.config.ts:
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
perHour |
Average fares a driver takes per hour on the road, before commission. |
commission |
Your commission, in percent. |
hours |
The slider’s min, max and starting point (default), in hours per week. |
note |
The small print under the result. Keep it honest: earnings vary. |
The weekly figure is hours × perHour × (1 − commission), and the monthly figure is the weekly figure × 52 ÷ 12. Both are rounded to whole units of your currency. The calculator runs in the visitor’s browser.
- type: earnings
variant: split
title: How much could you ==earn==?
points:
- Weekly payouts, every Monday
- 0% commission for your first month
action: { label: Apply to drive, href: "#apply" }
Use variant: card for the calculator on its own, centred.
Requirements
The requirements list is a feature block with variant: checklist. Each item has a title and an optional text, and the list shows in two columns on wide screens.
The application form
The application form is a contact block with its own topics, subject and button:
- type: contact
id: apply
variant: split
topics: [I have my own car, I'd like to rent a car]
subject: New driver application
button: Send application
It sends to the same provider as your booking form. See Booking and forms. Because it has id: apply, buttons elsewhere can link straight to it with #apply.
