Livvic Jekyll documentation

Going live

Publish Livvic on Cloudflare Pages, Netlify or any static host.

First, set url in _config.yml to your real address. Then build the site:

bundle exec jekyll build

This creates a _site folder with your finished site.

Settings for every host

Setting Value
Build command bundle exec jekyll build
Output directory _site

Cloudflare Pages

  1. Put your project in a GitHub repository.
  2. Create a Pages project and connect the repository.
  3. Use the build settings above.
  4. Deploy, then add your domain under Custom domains.

Netlify

Add a new site from your repository with the same two settings.

Any other host

Run the build on your computer, then upload everything inside _site to your host.

GitHub Pages

Livvic uses jekyll-paginate-v2, which GitHub’s built-in Jekyll doesn’t support. To use GitHub Pages, build with a GitHub Actions workflow instead.
