Your main settings are in _config.yml. Restart the server after you change this file.

  • url is your site’s final address.
  • baseurl stays empty unless your site lives in a subfolder.

Logo and contact details

logo_url: "/assets/images/logo.png"
phone_number: "+012 (345) 77 999"
address: "55 New Sodor Road, USA"
office_time: "Sun - Friday : 10 am - 08 pm"
facebook_url: "https://facebook.com/yourname"
twitter_url: "https://twitter.com/yourname"
behance_url: "https://behance.com/yourname"
instagram_url: "https://instagram.com/yourname"

The footer only shows the details and social links you fill in, so delete a line to hide it.

Page header image

cover_image sets the image behind the page title on inner pages:

cover_image: "/assets/img/bg/page-title.jpg"

Blog pagination

per_page under pagination sets how many posts appear on each blog page. The default is 6.

The menu is in _includes/navigation.html. Most links scroll to a section on the home page, such as #services, so update them if you remove a section.

Contact form

The form in _includes/footer.html sends to the email in _config.yml through formsubmit.io. Send a test message after you publish, because services like this usually ask you to confirm your address first.
