Getting started

This guide takes you from the downloaded zip to Deneb running on your computer.

Requirements

• Node.js 18 or newer. Check your version with node -v. If you need to install or upgrade, get the LTS version from nodejs.org.
• A code editor. Any editor works. VS Code is a good free choice.

Install and run

Unzip the theme, open the deneb_reactjs folder in your terminal, and install its packages:

npm install

Start the development server:

npm run dev

Vite prints a local address, usually http://localhost:5173. Open it in your browser. The page reloads when you save a file.

What to change first

1. Replace the logo and colours, as described in Branding.
2. Replace the sample services and portfolio items.
3. Add your own blog posts.
4. Connect the forms and comments.

Build for production

npm run build

This creates a build folder with your finished site. See Going live to publish it.
